Use Blogs To Make Money

If you want to blog to make money then you must know what you want your blog to be about. Blogging is a wonderful thing that the internet gave to the people so we can all share our ideas and knowledge without having to pay for it.

The first thing you want to know is what topic you want to blog about. It could be anything at all and the more specific it is, the better results you can get. I will explain why in a second. So it would make sense to blog about an interest or passion you have. Maybe you enjoy playing guitar and know how to read tabs so you can setup tab diagrams on your blog to teach people. Trust me it works wonders.

Now once you know your topic you must research to see what the balance of supply and demand is. Meaning how many people want to learn about this topic, and how many websites are providing the information. I find the most efficient way of doing this is to use a keyword tool. You should go to Google and use their AdWords tool. Type in your topic and be specific. Then go down the list of keywords. It makes it so easy a little kid can do it. It is best to pick a keyword that has a lot of people searching for it but not as much competition. That means if you use that keyword that must be relevant to your topic. You can eventually get a lot of those people who want to learn about the topic because you will be one of the few supplying it. Make sense? So use a few keywords that have little competition but a descent amount of people wanting to learn about it. Use them in your title, keywords section, or description. That is what blogging to make money is all about!

So once you have an excellent topic that has a good (we will call it) supply/demand ratio you have got the hard part over with. Now time to blog to make money. Write a lot of rich content about your passion or interest and let your fingers do the typing. Content is King! You also want to make sure you post regularly. Just do at least one post a day.

Now in order to make some money you want to post some ads relevant to your topic. So the easiest ways to do this is to find companies that produce products relevant to your blog. Sign up for their affiliate program and use their banners and the link you get and post on your blog. Also get some AdSense, and do not worry because AdSense automatically has ads relevant to your site. So that is just a simple outline to blog to make money.

As an experienced blogger I know a great deal of information to maximize your profits on the internet. Click on the link below to enter the how to make money blog.

Can I Make Money Blogging? - You Bet

It must be one of the most common questions asked by people looking to make money online. Can I make money from blogging? Given the ease of use and the tiny investment required (we're talking pizza money here), it's not surprising that people look at blogging as an option.

Well the good news is, you bet your sweet little PC you can!

But you can make money online in numerous ways if you have the drive and determination, so why choose blogging?

Well let's briefly look at those low entry costs. WordPress, probably the most popular blogging platform (software) is actually free. Many of the blog themes and plug-ins (to expand its functionality) are also free. Buy a domain name (under $10.00) and get some professional hosting (starting at just a few dollars a month) and you're good to go.

There's a learning curve to get the best out of blogging, of course, but if you can type (even with a couple of fingers like me) then you can blog. You can get yourself earning and worry about the finer points later!

Traditional websites? HTML and scripting? Good luck with that.

But I'm not really addressing the question, am I. The question is, "can I make money blogging?" If the answer is a resounding yes, what about some detail? What about the HOW to make money blogging.

Well at the risk of being vague, how would you like to?

Pick a subject - pretty much anything you like - and you'll find a blog. If it's popular it probably carries advertising. You make money every time someone clicks one of those little ads. It's called pay-per-click marketing.

Similar thing if it's got offers for Amazon books and DVDs or perhaps other products - except this relies on sales. If someone buys, you get a cut. You don't have all the hassle of setting up the sales site or managing it, you just provide a link to it from your blog. It's called affiliate marketing and there are lots of ways to do it, but basically the programs cost you nothing to join and you get a share of every purchase you help generate...

There are affiliate programs for just about anything you can think of, so whatever your subject you can find something that fits. Is it profitable for your blog? Well that will depend on the number of visitors you get, but people are making six figure incomes and more from this stuff!

Then there's getting paid for your opinions or what you write. Some companies will pay you to review their products and services. It's not huge money per article but if you could write a couple a day, about the length of the one you're reading now, you could be looking at $1000 a month or more. It will take time to build to that level but it's quite do-able.

What about developing your own product. It's never been easier to create your own ebook and using a blog to promote it can be hugely profitable. Whole online business empires have been built on that idea, making their owners millions.

The missing part of the formula so far is that nasty four-letter word WORK. None of this happens without it. It's not hard work - you're not going to get any blisters - but it does require consistent effort. Only got a few hours a week? That's fine - exactly how most people start. If you think doing it for a fortnight is going to have you making a living online though, think again.

On the other hand, a few months from now you could be on the way to radically changing your future. Blogging can make ordinary people - with no special skills or experience - more money, faster, than probably any other opportunity that has ever existed. The question isn't "can I make money blogging?" it's "will you do what it takes?".

Blogging For Profit - The Right Attitudes to Make Money With Blog

When blog was first introduced, no one knows that you can make money with it. Now, more and more bloggers are achieving their financial freedom with blog. But, seriously, what do you need to build a successful blog? If you want to blog for profit, surely you will need product or traffic. And before that, you must make something clear.

Building a successful blog is like building a successful business. You need the right attitude to do it. Let's say you are suppose to clock into your office at 9am but you reach the office whenever time you like and sometime you don't even show up in the office. Do you think your boss will still employ you?

Of course not. You simply lack the consistency to your job. Same goes to the blogging business. When you want to make money with blog, the first thing you need is to consistently post on your blog. Your visitors like fresh information. They don't want to click in to see a 2 years ago blog.

And to help you post consistently, you should set a specific goal to build a successful blog. Let me ask you this, what do you want from your blog?

Novice bloggers will answer money. But wise bloggers will answer $3000 by end of this month. You need to set your goal as specific as possible. It is then you will know what you need to have in your blog to achieve your goal.

Once you have your goal written down, you need to concentrate and focus your energy to achieve it. It was told that one of the best ways to do that is to write up a plan. Note down how often you are going to post in your blog. What are you going to do to get more traffic to your blog; how are you going to evaluate your blog post and etc. It is alright that you don't have much idea to put in your plan. Just remember to add more ideas as you are building your blog.

Just like any other business, you will face a lot of challenges when you are trying to make money with blog. Now, that is the time your determination will be challenged. A lot of bloggers gave up their blogging business because they fail to see a growth of income despite their hard work to build a successful blog.

As a successful blogger, you should take this time to see what else you can do to bring more business to your blog.

As making a living is becoming more and more challenging, do you want to know how to make some extra cash online? Take a look at: http://www.buddingpro.blogspot.com.

Why Blogging is So Popular

If you've been thinking about blogging then you're not alone. There are literally millions of people making blogs all over the world; on all kinds of subjects and for all kinds of reasons. Whether it's for personal or financial purposes it's a great way to share your thoughts and knowledge with others.

One of the primary reasons it's so popular is that you can actually start up a business online for nothing. Not one cent. What other way could you start a business with no type of investment other than time? All you have to do is start writing about something you are interested in then get a product that's in demand and sell it.

Take for example the guy who started a blog about 'Stuff White People Like' his blog became extremely popular, so much so someone offered him a book deal. And that book deal was in the $300,000 dollar range. Granted, this isn't typical for a blog to take off like this, but you never know what the future may bring.

Another reason everyone is jumping on the blog wagon is that it's fun. You can write about anything you want anytime you want. There are no limitations or boundaries set in place, no blogging police to stop you and say, "You can't say or do that."

Then there's the entertaining and informative aspect. All you have to do is Google any topic you can think of and in a minute or less you will have your choice of blogs to choose from. It doesn't matter if you're a blogger or a blog reader all the info you want is available 24/7.

Furthermore, you don't need to be Einstein to set up a blog and write. Therefore, simplicity is another reason people love blogging. It doesn't matter if you have a college education or never went to school a day in your life. All walks of life can participate; any age or nationality.

There's no time like now to get started and if you're in need of a little help then get a blog coach so you can learn how to make money with it as well.

One thing for sure is that blogging is here to stay so you might as well get on board.

If you would like to start earning money with your blog go to http://www.makeblogs.org and check out Amy Bass a housewife and mother of 4 who blogged her way out of $72,000 in debt. An amazing and true story of how blogging can completely change your life for the better.

Secrets to Making Money With Blogs

Over the past few years blogging has changed a great deal and evolved in many ways. What was once an activity limited to a very small number of people has now exploded into a mini-industry. As the number of bloggers has exploded, so has the number of tools and services available for bloggers.

How much could you earn?

How would you like to earn a million dollars from blogging? Would you settle for a few thousand dollars per month? Or are you happy with how things are going? Some bloggers make a full-time living from blogging, and they earn millions of dollars.

Is blogging right for you?

It is worth taking time out to ask yourself whether making money with a blog is right for you. Examine your intentions! Not every blogger is suited to blogging for money. What many new bloggers find is that at first the enthusiasm and ideas come easily, but after the first flush of energy has passed it becomes harder and harder to write every day, let alone keep up with all the other factors of maintaining a blog. When your income depends on keeping it up, you might find some of the feelings of excitement and enjoyment have turned to resentment and blogging has become a chore.

Passive and active income.

A big appeal for making money out of blogs, or in fact web publishing in general, is that it is seen by many as a passive income. This is income that is earned even when you are not actively working. Though there are aspects to blogging that can be seen as allowing a passive income - for example, advertising can earn you money while you are asleep, you can take days off, and so on - in actual fact you do need to keep working at it to make a steady or increasing income.

The important thing in blogging is to stand out among the crowd and it is always going to get harder and harder. You need to find a way to better serve readers while covering new ground.

Here you will find more information about blogging and other easy ways to make money online.

A Good Topic For Your Blog

Think long and hard about your life. Think about your skills. What do you do for work? What do you like to do in your spare time? What are your hobbies? What are your unique skills? Do you have children? Do you have pets? What are your dreams and aspirations? What is unique about you? What is unique about what you know versus what other people know? You can easily use the answers to these questions in your quest to find a good blog topic.

If you have trouble answering the questions above then find someone close to you and ask them to answer the questions about you. Find out what others would suggest you might want to publish a blog about. Often you cannot see what is right before you, but others who are close to you can. You might be surprised at the great ideas they might come up with for you. Listen to their suggestions. Answer the questions for yourself, and decide on a good topic.

The most important thing you can do is to blog about something interesting, both interesting to you and to other people. Something you either know a lot about, or have the desire to learn a lot about. For example, I may find that a topic like "lime green paint" would be good blog topic for search engine optimization and AdSense, however after about three posts then what would I write about that could possibly be interesting to anyone? There probably isn't much after those first three posts to write about. This would make lime green paint probably not the best topic for my blog.

You will need to strike a balance between search engine optimization, AdSense ad block placement, your knowledge of your potential topic, and your interests.

Finding a topic you like and are knowledgeable about helps you be able to write interesting posts. Your posts do not have to be brilliant works of literary art. They simply have to be engaging, interesting, and most of all fairly frequent. You will find blogging to be the easiest and most enjoyable if you pick a good topic for yourself.

Trust me when I say that you are setting your blog up for failure if you choose a topic based solely on search engine optimization and AdSense yet don't have any real interest in the topic. You will likely run out of interesting things to say before too long and your readers will get bored and not stick around. You will also find that you do not have the motivation needed over the long-haul if you choose something you do not enjoy writing about. You are much better off by taking the time to find the right topic for your blog(s) right from the start. This will give your blog the best chance for success and generate you the most passive income possible.

How to Use Colors in Your Blog

The first step in constructing an appropriate layout involves the color theme. You want to use colors that either match or complement your main website, or even just go along with your printed materials. Remember the value in branding, especially if you have traditionally been an offline company and are now moving things ahead on the web.

Color psychology can have a positive or negative effect on every single visitor that reaches your site, and you can make the most of your branding strategy by using special colors that evoke specific feelings. The following colors are generally associated with different emotions, feelings, and reactions in both positive and negative ways:

• Red: excitement, warmth, energy, and stimulating in the positive, but aggression and excessive visual impact in the negative. Red is a strong and powerful color, and can be used properly in subtle ways. It demands attraction and recognition, but can also be perceived as overly aggressive.

• Blue: intelligent, cool, efficient, and trustworthy in the positive, but unfriendly and aloof in the negative. Blue is essentially soothing, and the different hues can create a peaceful and serene feeling. However, it can also be perceived as cold and unemotional so you will need to pick the right tone to deliver the appropriate message.

• Yellow: confident, creative, strong, and friendly in the positive; depressing, irrational, and even fearful in the negative. Yellow is a very stimulating and energizing color, but overusing it or using the wrong tone can work against you.

• Green: balance, rest, peace, environmentally friendly in the positive, but bored, bland, and stagnant in the negative. Green can be used in very positive ways for a refreshing and energizing color palette, but too many dark tones can be perceived negatively.

• Orange: warmth, security, fun, and abundance in the positive, but frivolity and disorder in the negative. Orange is a very energizing color, and can also attract immediate attention; however, too much of it can indicate foolishness or not being taken seriously enough.

• Pink: femininity, love, tranquility in the positive, but weakness and inhibition in the negative. Pink can be soothing and attractive, but can be draining and overdone very easily. Avoid using it unless it clearly matches and represents your brand.

• Brown: seriousness and warmth in the positive, but lacking in 'flavor' or taste in the negative. Strong browns can be helpful as accents, but a site completely done in brown can indicate boredom or lack of creativity.

Using powerful color combinations is very helpful when choosing the layout of your blog, and most blog platforms offer 'color combos' so you make the right choice. If you are designing your palette from scratch, just remember the principles of each color's psychological impact and proceed accordingly.

Blog and Make Money - 3 Essential Strategies

Want to make money blogging? Many bloggers are earning five figures a month, and many others are making a great part time income for a few hours of work each week. If you want to join these bloggers, you need strategies you can put into action, knowing that they work.

I'm going to share my favorite strategies with you. I've been blogging since 2002, and in that time I've made every mistake it's possible to make. After much testing, research and tweaking, I've developed a blogging system which works; it rests on these three strategies.

1. Research a Niche: Who's Paying and How Much?

Your criteria for entering any niche (a niche is a blogging topic, a particular area) starts by deciding whether the niche appeals to you. If you don't care about a niche, you'll have problems with it. Even if you out-source the blog posts, you need to spend time and energy on this niche. If the time you spend is enjoyable, you'll make money.

The next criteria for your niche is deciding who's spending money in the niche, how much they spend, and whether you can design your blog to scoop cash out of this money pool.

For example, perhaps your partner has just gone on the latest diet. You know that "weight loss" is a million dollar niche, and you don't actively dislike it. In fact, you're quite interested in this niche. You do some research and find a sub-niche (low carb recipes). Then you find find ten affiliate programs you could promote, and you're ready for the next strategy.

2. Develop a System: One Blog or Many?

You've decided on a niche, you know money is being spent, and you know how you'll get your share. Your next step is to decide whether you'll create one large, authority blog, or many smaller blogs. There are benefits to each strategy, but for now just decide what you'll do.

3. Create a Blog Schedule: the Money Is in the Content

Your final strategy is to create a schedule for everything you'll do that's related to this particular blog, or blogs if you're going the multi-blogging route.

The income you'll make from your venture depends on you, and the effort you put in at the beginning. Once your blog's content is indexed, and you're getting traffic, you can develop a long term schedule, out-sourcing content-creation and traffic generation.

So there you have three essential strategies to help you to make money blogging.

You can make money blogging. Discover how with pro blogger and copywriter Angela Booth. She'll teach you how to blog the right way, so your blog is profitable from the start, with her bestseller, "Blogging for Dollars" at http://www.abmagic.com/Blog/blogging.html

Ways to Make Money - Create a Blog

There are countless ways to make money on the internet today but the focus of this discussion will be on blog marketing.

There are many opinions and perspectives on how to set up a money making blog. The question even exists as to when is the best time to introduce any type of marketing efforts on the blog itself. The thought here is the blog needs to become established with the readers first in order to gain their trust and loyalty.

Another approach is to monetize the blog immediately upon launch so that visitors become accustom to the use of the various sales tactics from the beginning.

The direction chosen ultimately will be up to the blog owner themselves. Here we're going to discuss how to monetize your blog upon launch.

Consideration and focus must be given to the 3 following areas to maximize your monetization efforts:

PLANNING OUT YOUR MONETIZATION STRATEGY

Here's is where you'll explore all the different strategies available concerning how to make money with your blog. What strategies will best fit into the theme or purpose of your blog needs to be carefully considered.

You'll also want to consider whether you want to add new marketing strategies to the blog later on after launch. If the proper attention is not paid to this your monetization efforts could have a negative effect on the blog. This is also where you want to select a layout for your blog that will best fit these monetization efforts.

HOW MANY MARKETING STRATEGIES TO USE

Once you've determined those marketing strategies that would best fit your blog you need to decide how many of them you'll use. You want to be careful here because you can easily over-monetize the blog disabling both your marketing and blogging efforts. The right balance and/or mix needs to be struck to make your efforts pay off. Look around at other sites on the internet to see how they're set up and how many strategies they use.

Will you rent space to online advertisers, use AdSense ads or maybe both? What about selling affiliate products or perhaps developing your own. Will the tone of your blog reflect a more hard sell approach or will you use subtle and suggestive sales tactics.

POSITIONING YOUR ADS

It is important to carefully consider where to place any ads on your blog. By crowding or perhaps locating ads in low visibility areas will diminish their desired effect. Strategically placing your ads so that they will be easily found without interrupting the flow of the blog itself is crucial. It is recommended to be sure you have some ads above the fold of your blog. This is the portion of the blog that is visible to the reader when they first enter your site.

Blog marketing offers some compelling reason as to why it may be one of the best ways to make money online. It offers the blogger the ability to reach a global internet audience. The opportunity to blog about a passion without dealing with technicalities normally associated with managing a website is an additional plus. With a little preplanning you too can operate a money making blog.

Make Money Online With a Blog in Just Two Days

Want to make money online with your blog in just two days? It's much easier to do than you think. The simple process I've outlined for you works; once you learn it, you can create as many money-making blogs as you please.

1. Find a Blog Topic

Everything starts with choosing your blog's topic, or its "niche". Don't spend too much time over this. If you're a new blogger, you can waste a lot of time trying to find untapped niches with little or no competition. Unfortunately, not only is this a waste of time, it may also doom your blog -- tiny niches result in tiny traffic.

Choose a niche you know something about, even if it's highly competitive. Niches are competitive because there's LOTS of traffic, and you can share in that in order to make money quickly.

2. Set up Your Blog

Use whichever blogging platform you're comfortable with. As with choosing a niche, don't spend too much time. Get it done -- you can and will change it later.

3. Write Content

When your traffic arrives, visitors want to be rewarded. Create at least five posts, preferably ten. Make these the best posts you're capable of.

4. Find Advertisers

You can and will change the way you monetize your blog many times. Choose a method: whether advertising, selling affiliate products, or selling your own product.

5. Write a Free Report

With this fast traffic method you're paying for visitors, so you want to get as much of a return on your investment as you can. Therefore, you need a method of capturing email addresses before they arrive. Write a short report, and create a squeeze page -- use some of the information you used in your initial posts.

Now, when you advertise, your visitors will firstly be asked for their information so they receive the report, then they'll be sent to your blog.

6. Advertise Your Blog

The final step is to advertise your blog. Pay Per Click (PPC) will have traffic flowing to your blog within minutes. However, there are many other ways to advertise, including buying reviews, buying space on popular blogs, and paying for a solo mailing to someone's mailing list.

You will see your first income with this blog within two days. Congratulations -- now go and do it again.

Blog For Instant Income - Get Fast Traffic to Your Money-Maker

Want to get fast traffic to your blog? You can do it -- there's no need to wait weeks for your visitors to arrive, you can get a flow of traffic within 24 hours. When you do this, you'll turn a simple blog into a great home business.

There are basically two ways to get traffic: free methods, and paying for traffic.

When your blog is new, you need to prime the traffic pump by paying for traffic. This will get your blog noticed. Using a combination of free and paid methods for traffic generation will give you the best results over time. With a new blog, or a blog which is only a few months old, it's difficult to make an income from your blog by relying solely on free methods.

Let's get started.

1. Make the Most of Your Traffic: Capture Information

Because you'll be paying for traffic, you want a way to get the most from it. Therefore you need a way of capturing names and email addresses. So set up a mailing list for your blog.

2. Get Links Pointing to Your Blog

Your next step is to get links pointing to your blog. Increasing your links will get you organic traffic over time, and will ensure that you keep getting traffic even when you stop paying for it.

There are many link-building methods which you can use. Writing promotional articles works; so does writing guest posts on others' blogs.

Tip: make link-building a long term plan. The search engines like to see a site's link profile growing naturally over time. So don't go on a link building frenzy: it may have unintended consequences.

3. Advertise Your Blog

Finally, create an advertising campaign for your blog. A Pay Per Click (PPC) campaign is fast and effective.

You'll get best results with advertising when you target a specific audience. For example, if you advertised the keyword "weight loss" on your weight loss blog, not only would the cost be prohibitive, your traffic would also be less profitable.

Therefore, choose a specific audience within the wider weight loss niche, such as weight loss after pregnancy, or teen obesity.

You've now got enough information to start making money with your blog by getting fast traffic, and monetizing that traffic.

Make Money Faster With a Blogging Coach

Would you like to make money faster with your blog? If honest, most people will answer yes to this question and may even ask how. There's plenty of money to be made blogging, however, you have to know how to do it. You can't just wake up one morning and say I'm going to make money blogging.

If you want to make money blogging you need a tried and true method. That's right, a method, not just any method, but a proven one. You can come up with one on your own, but is it proven? Will it work? Of course, the answer to this is "I don't know." There has to be time, effort and a good bit of trial and error put into a method to test it.

But what if you don't have the time or energy to put into finding a method that is successful? Not to mention the disappointment that can come of trial and error tactics. You may have already tried several methods or you may be trying a new one as you read this in hopes that you will find the magic answer.

Sad to say there isn't a magic answer, but there is a solution and that solution is to get a coach. And not just any coach but one that has a proven method and can back it up with testimonies from every day people like you and me.

Ideas to Make Money Through Blogging

Digital Assets - Increasing numbers of bloggers have been developing other digital assets to support and add income streams to their blogs.

Blog Network Opportunities - with the rise in popularity of Blog Networks - bloggers are also being offered with more places to earn an income from their blogging - by writing for and with others. While it might be hard to get a writing gig with one of the bigger networks - there are plenty who are always asking for new bloggers to join and who are willing to pay bloggers using a variety of payment models. For more results go to www.instant-blog-and-ping.com. While there are distinct advantages of blogging for you - blogging for an established network who will handle a lot of the set up/promotion/admin/SEO etc have its advantages also. More and more bloggers are combining writing for themselves on their own blogs with taking on blog network blogs as additional income streams.

Business Blog Writing Opportunities - as blogging has risen in its profile as a medium more and more businesses are starting blogs. Many of these companies have internal staff take on blogging duties - but an increasing number of them are hiring specialist bloggers to come on and run their blogs. Check out Bloggers for Hire if you’re looking for this type of work.

Non Blogging Writing Opportunities - Also becoming more common are bloggers being hired to write in non blogging mediums? There is a rise of bloggers as published book authors - this is to the extent that one blogger.

Consulting and Speaking - While it has been popular for recognized consultants to add blogs to their businesses we’re also starting to see bloggers with no consulting background able to make money by charging readers for their time in consulting scenarios BECAUSE of the profile that their blogs have built them. Blogging has the ability to establish people as experts on niche topics and we all know the value of being perceived as an expert.

Flipping Blogs - Also more common in 2005 was the practice of ‘Blog Flipping’ - or marketing of blogs. This has happened both on a personal blog level (I can think of about 20 blogs that sold this year) but also on a network level (the most obvious of these being the 8 figure sale of Weblogs Inc to AOL).

Generate Traffic to Your Website By Using Blogs

Blogging can be used a means of generating traffic to your website, Face book or My Space page or even another blog. However, to achieve that, you have to advertise your blog itself, and that should be taken into account when you create a blog. Use your blog to make money as well as to have fun and meet people. Blogging is a great way to get traffic to your website, and if you create a blog for no other reason than that, you are practically certain to get positive results. Blogging and traffic are made for each other, and there are several ways of using blogs to promote products on your site.

The first question is what kind of blog? Although there are alternatives, the most popular blogging software packages are Google's Blogger and Word press .For more details visit to www.rss-announcers.com. This offers you four blogging options, and three ways of creating a blog to get traffic to your website.

Why four from just two blogging packages? Here is the answer to that question, and how if you create a blog using each, you will maximize your earning potential from your products:

Blogger Blogger is blogging software owned by Google. Most people run their blog from Blogspot, Bloggers blogging host. When you do that you have less control over your blog than if you operate it from your own IP address. Blogger is very easy to use, and very easy to get started with, and is popular with those who don't want to worry about templates, plugging and designing their own blogs.

Word press Word press can also be run from the Word press hosting site. However, where Word presses scores over Blogger is in the fact that the software can be uploaded to your website, and can be run from there. This enables you to use any of the thousands of Word press plugging and templates that provide an almost unlimited degree of functionality in your blogging that will help to drive traffic to your website.

When you create a blog with any of these two different packages, whether run from your own computer or from the blog host, you are able to provide fresh content daily to your virtual website. Because that is what a blog is: it is in effect a web page, in the same way that a Squidoo lens and a page on a website is a web page.

Bogging and Search Engines Blogging allows you a presence on search engines such as Google and Yahoo, and allows those with little idea of SEO or even of web design, to sell products online. There was a time when blogs were a rarity and something new, but blogging is now a way for anybody that knows how to create a blog can drive traffic to their website or to their blog page and help they make money through free advertising.

However, even a blog has to be advertised. Blogging in itself is not an advertising technique, but one of displaying your thoughts, idea, products or advertising your products. Now, you might think I am being a bit duplicitous here, stating that blogging is not a means of advertising yet can be used to advertise! Yet both statements are true. Let me explain why.

Is Blogging an Advertising Technique? Yes and no. You can create a blog in order to get traffic to your website, and in that respect you are using your blog for advertising. You can place a link to your website: your squeeze page, sales page or just a content page. The question is, how do you get people to read your blog, and then click on one of these links? The link could be placed at the bottom of every post, and on a permanent page on your blog, but how do yet get traffic to your blog: you have the same problem now as getting traffic to your website!

What you have here is that blogging can be use to promote another site, whether it be a website, another blog or a social networking site such as Face book, My Space or You Tube. You can use all of these to promote and sell products. However, how do you get people, to find your blog? Creating a blog is fine, but that is only the start.

Use Article Marketing in Blogging There is one way, and that is article marketing. By writing articles about your niche or product, and then including a link to your blog in the article, you can use the article to advertise your blog .For more information logon to www.feed-reader-links.com. If you can persuade a reader to click on your link, they will reach your blog on which you provide them with links to your website, your other blogs and your Face book and My Space home pages.

Perhaps you can't write, and maybe don't know how to use articles properly, or even where to get them. Well don’t worry. If you want to make the best use of the internet than create a blog, get blogging and then use the help provide online to make best use of your blog make money.

Blogging and traffic go together, and it is easy to create a blog to drive traffic to your website or any other online web page (such as another blog). You only need to know how.

I can show you how: check out Article Czar for information on how articles can be used to make money from your blog, and also to receive a free gift for visiting. I also include a small file that shows you how to set up your Word press blog on your website. Also check out Create A Blog for more general advice on creating your own blog.

How You Can Get More Comments on Your Blog

The ultimate goal of any blog, however, is to get as many people as possible to become interested in your blog and visit it frequently.

People who create blogs do not need to be very concerned about any bad feedback that is made about the blog because they should be grateful that people are making any comments at all. The fact that people are talking about your blog, even if it is negative criticism, should be considered as a great accomplishment for your site because that is exactly what you are trying to do. If the topics that are published are your blog trigger a great deal of blog criticism from Internet visitors, then you have ultimately achieved your goal of getting people to become interested in your blog.

Probably the most obvious way of finding out that a lot of people are visiting your blog site is by looking at the amount of comments that they post to the blog. Having many comments posted to the blog, whether they are positive or negative, results in a very successful website, so the question then is how you can get more comments on your blog posts. This goal can be accomplished in a number of different ways. If you want to increase people desires to visit your blog site you must think of and implement writings that draw out the feelings and opinions of ordinary people. For more help go to www.greatblogbox.com. Topics that are fairly recent or highly debatable will increase people desires to post a comment or criticism on your blog which will therefore increase the amount of people that visit your site. Write articles that will make people want to give feedback and participate in the online discussion that is hosted by your blog. Making blog posts as a type of competition will also spark people’s chances of leaving comments on your blog. One of the things that you can advertise on your website which will make it very attractive is a prize for the top commenter to the articles that you publish.

This method will provide people with another incentive for posting comments to your blog posts. Handling negative blog criticism is kind of a hard thing to regulate, especially if you are new to the online world and have never created a web site before. For more information login to www.blog-link-generator.com. As time goes on, however, you will become more accustomed to blog criticism and it will have a much smaller effect on your emotional state of mind. You must remember that criticism is a very good thing because it shows that people are interested in talking about your web site and also provides productive feedback for you on how to better enhance and improve the overall effectiveness of your blog pages.

Blog, Blog, Blogging Your Way to a Better Affiliate Marketing Program!

Did you hate group work in school? Perhaps you hated group work because you were the fearless leader who couldn't understand for the life of you why your group members were so apathetic and impassive. Or, perhaps you despised the dreaded group sessions because you resented the uptight, A+ student who always had to be the shining star of every project?

Group work is not easy work. In a sense, The Internet, or more specifically the World Wide Web, is like a big conglomeration of individual and group projects that millions of people around the world have the opportunity to contribute to. You, for instance, are likely part of a school or organization that displays its website online. You of course may not agree with much of what your company professes or with your school's "bragging rights" but hey----isn't that the "charm" of group work.

The interesting thing about the World Wide Web is that it's not just about group work...it's about the individual as well. Blogs happen to be one of the most useful tools for the individual who's finding new ways to express herself online. Affiliate marketing happens to be flogging’s online economical cousin. In other words, blogging and affiliate marketing are potentially some of the most powerful online tools for the individual.

It might seem that way when you receive benefits such as the following:

#1: Blogs and Affiliate Marketing Don't Require Personal Compromise If you choose the right blog space and the right affiliate marketing program, you still (of course) are not an autonomous entity, for more detail visit www.greatblogbox.com but you won't be a slave to your online tools either. There are possibly hundreds or even thousands of hosting potentials who will provide you with blog space you need at extremely low rates and affiliate marketing programs abound as well.

#2: Blogs and Affiliate Marketing can Save You Time One of the great things about blogs is that they can save you time. Sure, you still have to take 10 minutes+ to write each blog entry but with some content management systems you can quickly have your blog content uploaded to your website for safekeeping when beforehand you might have loaded entry page by entry page in a tedious round of content management. New and edited content on your website is also beneficial if you are participating in an SEO (search engine optimization) campaign.

#3: Blogs and Affiliate Marketing to Express Your Individuality Blogs can help you express your opinions, your humor, your sarcasm and your happiness, while reaching a greater audience. Affiliate marketing can express the products that you support and help you make money online. Blogs and affiliate products can even be merged into one when you write about products that you have tried/proven. Affiliate banners can also be displayed in or near related blog entries for easy access to interesting products by blog readers.

#4: Blogs and Affiliate Marketing as part of a Network Blogs and affiliate marketing allow you the option to network with a variety of online entities. However, once again, for more detail visit www.bloggers-guide-to-profit.com you can maintain your autonomy (your decisions in general do not have to be totally influenced by the network) as you simultaneously become one of many.

#5: Blogs and Affiliate Marketing Blogs and affiliate marketing can contribute to an online atmosphere of transparency that for consumers is almost akin to a neighbor or friend recommending a valuable product. The power of commerce may indeed lie in the lap of those who provide honest opinions about the products they have tried and tested themselves.

5 Tips to Help Increase Traffic to Your Blog

Are you looking to increase traffic to your blog now that you've finally got it up and running? Sure you can start passing the word around to friends and family to check out your site but that won't start attracting online traffic. How do you attract readers?

Well assuming you've got next to nothing for traffic let's review the top 5 things you need to do as a blogger to spread the word and start attracting online traffic to your blog.

• Launch Your Blog with a Series of Pillar Articles

These articles should be longer than the average post (approximately 500 words) with content designed to inform and educate your readers. The tips and advice found in these articles should encourage visitors to return for more of what they hope will be the same. It is best to have 5 or more articles ready as soon as your blog launches.

To further maximize your writing efforts you can take these articles and also submit them to article directories after you've posted them to gain additional exposure. Within your resource box there should be a link back to your blog. • Post Frequently

Upon launch your blog posting should be done on a daily basis. Maintain this frequency during the initial stages. This will keep visitors coming back to check for new material since you're demonstrating to them that they can expect this. Search engines will also visit your site more frequently enhancing your search engine rankings.

An important note here with frequent blog posting is they don't all have to be article length. Something short and insightful will do but continue to include articles intermittently to maintain a certain level of quality content.

• Reference other blogs in your post

Don't be afraid to refer to other blogs for the quality of their content. When you're posting and you use reference links to indicate the source of some of your content you can also do a trackback. This is basically notifying the blog you've referenced that you've posted about them on your site. When you do this a brief synopsis of your post is left on their blog entry with a link back to your site allowing folks to read the entry and follow the link back to you.

• Visit other blogs and leave comments

Look around and visit blogs within the community related to your niche. Get involved and leave comments.

This is beneficial since when comments are left by you a link back to your site normally is part of your signature file you've left. Also you may pick up helpful information or insight you can use at your blog.

Quick note here is to be sure your comments are helpful and appropriate otherwise you'll be ignored and viewed as a spammer.

• Encourage participation at your own blog

Be sure instructions are clear at your site on how to leave comments. Encourage this practice by your visitors and participate by responding back. Others will notice this and follow suit increasing the interactivity and popularity of your blog by creating a more communal atmosphere.

By implementing this 5 aforementioned points you should not only increase traffic to your blog but also make your blogging experience more enjoyable.

Make Money with your Blog

Someone asked on LinkedIn: "If I wanted to have a successful blog that potentially made money, what would I do?"

First thing's first, after figuring out what it is you're going to write about and designing the blog and hosting it somewhere (I would suggest purchasing a keyword-rich domain name rather than hosting it free on Blogger or some other blog site), the most valuable thing you can do is add buttons and links to your blog to allow users to subscribe to it in as many different ways as possible. Some people use services like Bloglines, some people use an RSS app, some people use Firefox live bookmarks, but not all of these people are savvy enough to know how to subscribe to a blog without a specific sub-to-this-blog link for their preferred RSS reader. A great resource to help you make these different links is Feedburner.com. Feedburner also allows you to design email signatures with animated headlines from your blog, and many other different ways to publicize and monetize your blog. Plus, it lets you watch the traffic and subscription trends for your blog's feed.

Next, you want to research keywords to find a keyword that relates to your subject matter that people actually search for, so that if you find yourself in the top ten rankings on Google for said keyword, you will actually get traffic from it. An awesome tool to help you figure this out is Wordtracker GTrends which is here: http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/gtrends/

Once you find your keyword or key phrase, you want to make sure your blog's code is search engine friendly. You want to make sure your meta tags are within search engine guidelines, that your keyword density is appropriate for your subject matter, and that all of your titles have your keyword or key phrase in it. A good way to get a head start on this is to have your blog's backend hosted by Blogger, while the blog itself is published on your own domain. I say this because Google owns blogger and as such, the new version of blogger features extremely Google-friendly code.

After this, you need to get some links pointing to your site from good, Google recognized sites that relate to your subject matter. The best way to do this is to search on Google for your keywords or key phrase and ask the top ten ranking web sites to link to your blog. You may have to be creative about this, using what we like to call link bait. This can be anything that entices another web site owner to link to your site. Because your site will be new and most top ten ranking sites know a thing or two about search engine optimization, you probably won't be able to just get a link exchange - no one wants to link to a brand new blog for two reasons, one is that new bloggers have a tendency to lose interest after a while and you find yourself linking to a blog that never gets updated, and two is because the site has no Google PageRank. If you offer your potential linkers something else, you may have more success. For example, I once ran a campaign for a client that swapped links for a discount on my client's products. Whatever it is you swap for a link is up to you, be creative.

You want to add your web site to blog directories and blog resources such as Technorati. If you haven't spent literally a week straight doing this, you haven't found nearly all of them. There are so many! Your best bet is to search Google for a list of blog directories.

Ask your friends or colleagues to Digg each of your blog posts using digg.com

Add links to the bottom of every post that will allow readers to add to delicious, post to facebook, myspace, stumble upon, etc. Use as much 2.0 power as you possibly can. Get a Twitter account and tweet as much as you can, follow as many users as you can. Make sure every profile you've ever made for yourself or your business on any site, has a link to your blog. Make sure your blog address is everywhere, when you comment on others' blogs, when you talk in forums, etc.

You want to make sure you have an advertising policy available on your web site for potential advertisers to read, and as many different ways for them to contact you.

When all of this is set up and ready, it's time to send out a Press Release. Make sure it is enticing and boldly underlines how this blog is different and why people will want to read it. Submit your press release to as many press release distributors as possible. Again, just search on Google and you'll find a ton. Some cost money, some are free.

Now it's time to post. Make sure your posts have personality. No one wants to read a dry technical blog. You want to make sure your own personality comes out in each and every post. Also, the more controversy, the better. A controversial post will entice readers to send the link to their friends and family in either horror or pride - both are equally as good! It will also encourage comments and repeat visits when something heated has been posted to the comments and the poster wants to come back to check the responses. It will also encourage repeat commenters and some will be compelled to subscribe to your blog. Make it controversial enough and you may even hit the mainstream news, such as Michelle Malkin did recently when she objected to the scarf Rachael Ray was wearing in a Dunkin' Donuts ad.

Submit all of your article length posts to article databases utilizing the author's bio as a spot for a link back to your blog. Hopefully people will syndicate these on their own sites keeping the bio in tact and thus, creating more links to your blog.

Some people use traffic exchanges such as BlogExplosion or Blog Soldiers and while it does actually increase your traffic, most of that traffic is useless. The only one I have ever found that actually results in real readers, is BlogExplosion.com. These sites are not entirely useless, however, as they do have directories that your blog is submitted to when you join. And there are no obligations after joining, so I would suggest doing so just to get into the directories as they are even more links to your blog.

Make sure you blog regularly, but not too much. Many people subscribe to RSS feeds as a much faster way to get their daily reading in. Blogs with a lot of daily headlines, generally get skimmed and sometimes just deleted when there's no time. But blogs that only have a post a week, can tend to be forgotten about. My suggestion is to keep it to once daily, and at the very least, 3 or 4 times per week. If you are going to be unable to post for a period of time, vacation or something, post and let your readers know so that they don't think it's just another blog gone stale.

In the meantime, add Google Adsense to your blog, perhaps Amazon a-store and any high-quality affiliate programs that can relate to your blog's subject matter.

If you keep all of this up, you will have advertising revenue. The key though, is patience. Keep at it and don't get discouraged. Publicizing any web site can take months upon months before you see results. But once you do, it's highly worth it. You may even want to design and sell your own merchandise for further revenue.

Are You Making Money Blogging?

Individuals that dream of blogging for profit will find this goal within reach as long as they have a willingness to put in the hard work and have a minimal grasp of the use of blogging software. Yet, only a small percentage of individuals actually get the profits they expected from their blog. So why is that?

There are fundamentally two reasons of failure for nearly all folks who try to make wealth through their weblogs. Often, bloggers have excessive expectations of how fast their following will grow and how much money they will make. When these heightened expectations are not met, often they are discouraged and just stop blogging. The other trap that many bloggers fall into has to do with lack of preparation. Generating wealth by writing a blog online requires development of a realistic plan and to adhere to it.

In order to make money with blogging, it is critical that you have a lot of readers, ie. traffic. Advertisers will pay you more if you have lots of traffic to your blog. However, cultivating the consistent traffic needed in order to make a profit isn't a walk in the park. A bright idea or engaging writing style is no longer enough to grab readers' attention. You have to market your blog to generate traffic to it.

There are many ways to market your blog. One is by writing articles such as this one and putting the link to your blog in the resource or author box. Others are by adding comments to other peoples' blogs or in related forums, always adding a link back to your own blog. Then there's social media sites like Twitter, Squidoo, Hub pages, etc. Building quality content on these websites and linking to your blog can all generate traffic.

All too often, bloggers spend all their time writing content, which is important, but they completely ignore the marketing aspect. You have to market your blog for traffic to know where to find it. Readers of blogs will keep coming back to your blog if you regularly update it with new content that has value. Regular updates allow blog search engines and directories to keep your internet rating high. All the same, it does not matter how often you update your blog posts if no one is reading your page. That's why it is so important to make the time to draw visitors to your blog website. Even if it means not posting quite as often so you can spend some of your time marketing, as long as you're providing value in the posts you make, the readers will return.

Remember to be realistic. Having a great blog idea and smart marketing strategy will not guarantee quick success. If you are blogging for profit it takes time to create a following, so don't expect much of a profit for several months.

The first thing to do is to Plan. Plan out your goals of what you want to have accomplished, and be specific. Put those goals to a timeline and stick to it. During the early stages, don't falter on your dedication to your blogging project. When you hit one of your planned goals, reward yourself and then move forward, sticking to your plan.

Make money on the internet with your blog

Starting a blog in today’s internet environment is not very difficult to do. Sources for starting a blog are numerous and can be started for free. It’s a great method to begin a business at home using the internet. You can then make money on line.

Let’s take a look at why internet marketers love blogging and why it works.
Blogging can be started for free. There several platforms available and they are free. Two popular ones are WordPress and Blogger.com. Blogger.com owned by Google, is very popular and easy to start in just three steps.

You can customise your blog and you don't have to be a technical wizard as you might with creating a website. Proficient typing skills are not required but are helpful. With some thought and planning you can build a great blog that your visitors will come back to over and over again.

Your goal should be to make money on your blog with your own products or products offered by affiliates. You can quickly and easily add Adsense, a Google product, for a quick income stream. Without your own product, you can earn commissions with sales of affiliate programs. To sell affiliate products, hyperlink keyword phrases into your blog articles back to your specific affiliate sales pages. This method will allow you to sell targeted products as they relate to a particular blog article you are posting.

Getting traffic to your website is a stumbling block many people have. Social bookmarking your blog creates search engine bait and will get you a high search engine ranking. By targeting long tail keyword phrases, you may be surprised to find yourself with a page 1 Google ranking in less than 24 hours.

It is also very important to mention that blogs help to establish relationships with your readers and customers. Web 2.0 describes how you can get your readers involved with the blogging process. The use of various tools such as posting comments, completing polls, and the viewing of videos on your blog will get your visitors involved in your blog and have them coming back as regular visitors.

Blogging is a great way to make money on the internet. These are some of the reason why. Taking blogging seriously working hard and being persistent, you can learn to blog and make money on the internet starting today.

Making Money With Blogs - How to Choose a Site

People who are new to the business of online blogs are often interested in knowing how to decide what site to start their blog on. Blogger, WordPress, and Live Journal are the three most popular blogging sites on the Internet.

Remember that advertisements are not handled the same way on every blog website, so you should investigate a website before you decide where to place your blog. The following is a short description of each of the three popular blog sites mentioned above. Use it find which will be best for you.

Blogger - Beginners tend to go with Blogger because the set up process is easiest with this website. All you have to do is sign up for your account and follow the easy, step by step process that present to you in order to get your blog up and running.

Since Google is affiliated with Blogger, getting AdSense ads on your blog is an extremely easy process on Blogger. Although it is true that you will not find as many blog templates on Blogger, it is still the best choice for beginners because of its no hassle system of getting your blog up.

WordPress - Even though WordPress also walks you through the processing of setting up your blog, it is a bit more complicated and is thus harder for beginners than Blogger's system. Blogs can be exported to your domain from WordPress. This feature is useful for marketers who want to move their blogs after a certain period of time.

Blog templates are quite plentiful on WordPress. You can also download blog templates that other people have designed as long as you give them credit for the design. This is useful for people who want to advertise their blog to a specific niche market because the design of the blog has a lot to do with the tone of the blog and the authority level is given by readers.

LiveJournal - This blogging site is community based and offers free accounts, although many features are not available with these accounts. To get access to all of the great features, you will need to have a paid account.

If your plan is to make money from ads without having to spend much on starting up, LiveJournal is probably not a good option. This is because only paying users can place an advertiser's ad on their blog pages.

You could still use a free account from LiveJournal as a networking tool to get people to visit another blog on a different site that allows ads. The LiveJournal blog could simply function as a "feeder blog" to increase your reader base.
