Making Money With Blogs - How to Choose a Site

People who are new to the business of online blogs are often interested in knowing how to decide what site to start their blog on. Blogger, WordPress, and Live Journal are the three most popular blogging sites on the Internet.

Remember that advertisements are not handled the same way on every blog website, so you should investigate a website before you decide where to place your blog. The following is a short description of each of the three popular blog sites mentioned above. Use it find which will be best for you.

Blogger - Beginners tend to go with Blogger because the set up process is easiest with this website. All you have to do is sign up for your account and follow the easy, step by step process that present to you in order to get your blog up and running.

Since Google is affiliated with Blogger, getting AdSense ads on your blog is an extremely easy process on Blogger. Although it is true that you will not find as many blog templates on Blogger, it is still the best choice for beginners because of its no hassle system of getting your blog up.

WordPress - Even though WordPress also walks you through the processing of setting up your blog, it is a bit more complicated and is thus harder for beginners than Blogger's system. Blogs can be exported to your domain from WordPress. This feature is useful for marketers who want to move their blogs after a certain period of time.

Blog templates are quite plentiful on WordPress. You can also download blog templates that other people have designed as long as you give them credit for the design. This is useful for people who want to advertise their blog to a specific niche market because the design of the blog has a lot to do with the tone of the blog and the authority level is given by readers.

LiveJournal - This blogging site is community based and offers free accounts, although many features are not available with these accounts. To get access to all of the great features, you will need to have a paid account.

If your plan is to make money from ads without having to spend much on starting up, LiveJournal is probably not a good option. This is because only paying users can place an advertiser's ad on their blog pages.

You could still use a free account from LiveJournal as a networking tool to get people to visit another blog on a different site that allows ads. The LiveJournal blog could simply function as a "feeder blog" to increase your reader base.

Blog and Make Money - 3 Essential Strategies

Want to make money blogging? Many bloggers are earning five figures a month, and many others are making a great part time income for a few hours of work each week. If you want to join these bloggers, you need strategies you can put into action, knowing that they work.

I'm going to share my favorite strategies with you. I've been blogging since 2002, and in that time I've made every mistake it's possible to make. After much testing, research and tweaking, I've developed a blogging system which works; it rests on these three strategies.

1. Research a Niche: Who's Paying and How Much?

Your criteria for entering any niche (a niche is a blogging topic, a particular area) starts by deciding whether the niche appeals to you. If you don't care about a niche, you'll have problems with it. Even if you out-source the blog posts, you need to spend time and energy on this niche. If the time you spend is enjoyable, you'll make money.

The next criteria for your niche is deciding who's spending money in the niche, how much they spend, and whether you can design your blog to scoop cash out of this money pool.

For example, perhaps your partner has just gone on the latest diet. You know that "weight loss" is a million dollar niche, and you don't actively dislike it. In fact, you're quite interested in this niche. You do some research and find a sub-niche (low carb recipes). Then you find find ten affiliate programs you could promote, and you're ready for the next strategy.

2. Develop a System: One Blog or Many?

You've decided on a niche, you know money is being spent, and you know how you'll get your share. Your next step is to decide whether you'll create one large, authority blog, or many smaller blogs. There are benefits to each strategy, but for now just decide what you'll do.

3. Create a Blog Schedule: the Money Is in the Content

Your final strategy is to create a schedule for everything you'll do that's related to this particular blog, or blogs if you're going the multi-blogging route.

The income you'll make from your venture depends on you, and the effort you put in at the beginning. Once your blog's content is indexed, and you're getting traffic, you can develop a long term schedule, out-sourcing content-creation and traffic generation.

So there you have three essential strategies to help you to make money blogging.

Search Engine Optimization For Blogs

Before we can talk about search engine optimization you need to know and understand the very basics of how a search engine works. While the process is very mathematical and way more complex than most people care to know about, I will try and give you a very simple explanation.

A search engine, such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc... sends a "spider" to a new website. This spider is simply a bit of code, or a program if you will, which "crawls" the website. Crawling the website is simply a matter of copying the pages and then downloading a copy of them to the search engine's web server.

Once the site has been crawled by the spider, the search engine then indexes the information from the pages it now has copies of. The indexing is all about keywords, tags, and what the site itself is all about.

When you go to Google and put in a keyword to search for, your "search results" page is based in the indexed pages from this process.

So, a search engine basically sends a spider to your pages, crawls them, copies them down to their own server, indexes the information on them, and then uses their index when someone does a search. It's not really that simplistic of a process, but as far as what most of us need to know that is basically what happens.

Search Engine Optimization

Once you have your blog established and are working to get the most traffic to visit it as possible, you will invariably hear about search engine optimization, or as it is commonly referred to - SEO. While search engine optimization sounds pretty daunting, it really is a pretty simple process to understand. Being mindful of SEO can bring your blog more visitors, and thus generate more income for you by those visitors clicking on your AdSense ads.

This eBook will cover the basics on SEO, but know that just like the actual workings of a search engine; entire books can be written on the topic! And, as an added frustration, the search engines do not release exactly how they process their information and index. This means that everyone trying to optimize their sites for the search engines is doing a fair amount of guessing and trial and error to see what works for them.

When looking for something specific online you invariably go to your favorite search engine and put in the keywords to search for whatever it is you are looking for. For example, if you want to buy a new golf club you would likely go to www.google.com and type in "golf club" in the search box.

Google, the search engine, would then return you a listing of probably a million or more pages of possibilities. The first website you see on the search results page is the page ranked #1 with Google; the second result has the #2 ranking, and so on down the list. With SEO being your main goal is to get to as near the top as possible of the results pages when someone searches on the keywords for your blog topic. You want to be on that first page of search engine results.

When a visitor does a search through a search engine and then clicks through to your site from there they are referred to as "natural" or "organic" visitors. They got to your website by a "natural" search engine search and not through another form of advertising you have done. Search engine optimization is all about getting you the most natural visitors to your site as possible. Why? Because these natural visitors come to you without you doing any work and then click on your AdSense ads. This gives you the best form of passive income possible!

The key to good search engine optimization is getting the highest ranking possible with the least amount of extra work on your part. When someone searches Google for the keyword which is the topic of your blog, you want your blog to show up on that first page of results, nearest to the top as possible. While the search engines use very complicated and secret algorithms to create their rankings, there are some simple things you can do to help get your blog up nearer to the top. You should be posting on your topic and often, building links, using good keywords and keyword density, tagging your posts and pinging regularly. Let's take a moment and look at each of these suggestions in more detail.

Build Your Business With Blogging

Even though a lot of people think about a blog as something to use to keep in touch with friends and to meet new people, it's also something that can help you to get people interested in what you have to offer. Are you concerned about blatantly advertising to people on your blog? Here are some ways that you can tell people about your products without making them feel as if you are forcing them to watch a commercial.

Pictures

One of the best ways that you can advertise to someone without them thinking that you are advertising to them is to put some pictures of your products on your blog. There are ways to make your pictures link to the website and take the person there if they click on it.

Signature

Another good way to make people aware of what you have to offer is to put it in your blog signature. It may not stand out as much as a picture, but it's something that is subtle and something that people are going to look at.

And of course, if you want to give people an incentive to go to you website, you can post a coupon code on your site that. This is going to make people more likely to go to your website and it will help you to see how well advertising on your blog is working. Give a coupon code that is only available on your blog and every time you see someone using it, you will know that they saw it on your blog.

How to Make Money Online and What Works For Me

Internet marketing can be a boat load of fun when done correctly. Internet marketing can also be most confusing and frustrating when it doesn't work the way you expected. Ultimately you are left scratching your head like so many thousands before you. It doesn't have to be that way.

There are literally countless ways to make money online but I have found so many that had me spinning my wheels. What works for me will work for you as well so, my suggestion is to find something you are knowledgeable about and start blogging about that. For me personally it is my hobbies that I am most knowledgeable and passionate about so that is where I focus my internet marketing energy.

I started my online business thinking that every one was my target audience and for that reason I spent my first year wondering what I was doing wrong. Since that time I have learned to focus on what I know and creating content around my knowledge.

Example: I decided to go with a fishing site because I am so fanatical about fishing but I didn't do so well. I even dropped the idea of having a fishing site all together until I started blogging and that is when it got a whole lot easier.

Now I blog about fishing but more locally than globally and after a few months of building my blog with content I started getting traffic. From there I monetized my fishing blog and started to earn a bit of cash.

Cool that will help pay for all the stuff fishing related I buy each year but I could do better, plus the fact that I was earning at all put a fire under me and I started a couple more fishing blogs.

Now I have 4 fishing blogs and two fishing money sites where I sell other people's products on eBay.

That is only one hobby of the many I enjoy and it earns me money so I decided it was time to start another blog and share about other hobbies I have and they started earning. Now it's your turn.

Make Money Online Blogging About What You Would Talk About For Free Forever. I have a number of hobbies that I blog about and make money talking about and so can you. http://www.ebooks-with-reseller-rights.com/blogging-for-profit/hobbies-that-make-me-more-money-online/

How to Make Easy Money With Work From Home Blogs

The world is being taken over by blogs. At least that is what it seems like. Everyone you meet seems to have a blog although it might appear a mystery what they find to write about and who on earth reads them. Well I know what they are writing and I know why they are blogging like people possessed.

You can earn money with blogging

It took a while for me to understand that people were writing work from home blogs simply to make money. The really successful bloggers bacome so involved in their blogs that they become known as experts and get called an authority blog. Now I am not claiming to have reached that status with my blogs as yet but I am earning money from them.

Content is critical for blogs

Before your eyes turn into dollar signs you need to have a blog that is full of content in a tightly focussed area of knowledge. This is called a niche. to pick a niche you must write about something you know and can write about. For example I have a blog about beginners learning the acoustic guitar. As a player and guitar teacher it is something I know plenty about and can write about all day. So this blog has lots of great information about learning the acoustic guitar. So what, you might ask.

How Can I Start a Business Online?

In the current economic climate, how do I start a business online, is a question many people are asking themselves. With unemployment soaring, the number of extra jobs people can take on is dwindling, and for many people being laid off, there is nowhere locally that a new job can be found.

The Internet however, is still growing in terms of the amount of financial activity that goes on within its global reach. Almost every web page contains ads for this or that product or service. The number of online business opportunities

is staggering, with search results measured in the hundreds of millions if you do a google search.

No wonder then, that those needing to add to their income, or replace it altogether due to being laid off, are having a serious look at what the Internet can offer. So, what things do you need to consider if you are thinking about using the Internet to start a business online?

Well three important aspects are:

  1. Watch out for scammers – they are everywhere, and they are quite happy to take your money off of you by selling you the most fantastic get rich quick scheme you have ever heard of. Theoir websites are highly persuasive and appeal to your emotions (and your greed)
  2. If you are serious about starting a business, whether full or part-time, you must know that to start with you are going to have to work hard to get established, and
You must also know that in order to get going and to ultimately be successful, you will have a lot to learn. And, unlike working for the firm or company, you won’t have access to specialists to help you with every aspect of your business. You will not have a company lawyer to help you understand legal agreements, the company accountant to you with the bookkeeping, or an IT department to help you sort out your computer when it crashes.

And then there are the technical aspects you will have to learn in order to just do the nuts and bolts of your business, getting yourself online, showing up in search engine results to, promoting yourself. For many these are completely new skills.

All right, so all this sounded a bit like gloom and doom! It is not. All that has been described is what anyone would have to deal with when starting anything new. Not just a business, but a new hobby or pastime, having a baby, getting married, buying a house. The truth is we are all experts at dealing with new things.

All I have said in the preceding paragraphs is this.

1. Watch out you don’t get ripped off.

2. Be prepared to work.

3. Be prepared to learn.

If you are not prepared for these simple things, then maybe running your own business is not for you. However, if it is and you are looking for a guide which will get you started in the right direction, while giving you the skills to go on and develop your own Internet Empire, then have a look at www.creditcrunchcommando.com

How Can I Make Some Extra Money

More and more I am being asked this question on a daily basis. With the economy the worst it has ever been in many of our lifetimes, people are looking for ways to make ends meet and to provide for their families.

One very good way that has not seen the impact of the recession is internet marketing. Internet marketing has not seen the recession because everyday more people are going online for the very first time and these first time buyers are continually purchasing online.

Online shopping is easy, quick and convenient. It is so much easier to check 10 websites than to check 5 shops. Not only can you find the products that you are looking for, but you can find reviews of products by people who have actually used the products. This certainly takes the guess work out of the age old question of which product is better.

So, for internet marketers, their only concern is to find out what shoppers want and to deliver it to them in a user-friendly meaningfully way. Therefore, if you truly have the burning question of how can I make some extra money, this may be your answer.

It is quite easy to learn internet marketing and since there are so many facets to it, there is bound to be a strategy that you can handle. Internet marketing is real selling just as selling in a store-front is real, but with internet marketing you may not ever see or come in contact with the product before it is shipped to the buyer. In fact, you do not even need to spend a dime on the product. You simply market it and collect your share of commissions.

The technology on the internet is exhaustive and can be overwhelming even for the not so faint of heart. But it really is very simple. Find out what people want, find the products online, building a site to promote it and let people know about your site.

The amazing thing is that this can all be done for free. Yes, I said free! All you need is a computer and an email address. You do not have to pay to build websites or pay to host these sites anymore. There are free blogs, Squidoo Lens and many other such technologies that are quite free to join, where you can promote the products that you find.

The hardest part of internet marketing is letting people know about your sites, but take heart. This can indeed be done for free too. There are many strategies that you can use such as the various surfing sites where you look at their ads in exchange for them showing your ads for free.

Once you learn how to do internet marketing you will never again ask the question How Can I Make Some Extra Money, but you will be teaching your kids, neighbors, families and friends.

Make Money With Online Jobs - Don't Get Scammed

This is kind of a touchy subject with me because no one likes getting scammed and I hope this article will help you. Six months ago I lost my job and with this very bad economy I wasn't going to find a new job fast. When I first started 6 months ago I started by doing those online surveys and i never made a dime. Although I was able to make money in my survey account. To get that money you first have to activate that account by making a certain amount of money that they set at the beginning and what happens is they give you just enough surveys to get close and then the surveys stop. The next thing you know your waiting for days and weeks and they never give you another survey and then your account will be deactivated due to lack of participation.

Some survey sites tell you that your going to make money and then they try and give you a gift card instead for a company that you wouldn't shop at. I was getting so frustrated trying to make money online. Well one day I met this person who does make money online and I was talking to them and she started telling me about building websites and affiliate marketing . Now I didn't know anything about computers because I am over 40 and I never had a computer class and I had know idea how to build a website. She said If you can balance your check book you can earn money online its just that easy. But you do have to put in the time and it will take you a while to start making money.

She said the reason why most people fail is because they get frustrated and give up. I said I can't give up because I'm out of work and I really need to make money. Well I have to say I am making money now after 6 months and I am not rich yet but it has potential. I found out it wasn't hard to make money with online jobs.

Blogging in the Internet

If writing is an art, then, blogging is one way of using words to come up with an art. This is because people who are into blogging are the ones who are artistic on their own sense, carefully choosing words that would best describe their feelings, sentiments, wishes, desires, and everything.

Basically, blogs were first introduced as weblogs that refer to a 搒erver抯 log file.?It was created when web logging hit the virtual market. Since its inception in the mid-1990s, web logging gradually saturated the virtual community making the Internet a viable source of greater information.

However, with web logging, you still need a web site and domain names, but with blogging, you do not need anything just an account with blog providers. In most cases, these kinds of blogs are free of charge.

With the onset of blogging in the industry, personal journaling had been a common ground for people who wish to be known all over the world. However, not literally famous as this is not a case on being popular or well-known personality.

Generally, blogs are created for personal use. Like a journal, people can write their daily adventures, sentiments, and whatever ideas they want to express online.

Nevertheless, with the advent of the online businesses, blogs had gradually taken the limelight in providing businesses a chance to boost their productivity online. This is where the business blogs have taken the limelight.

Business blogs are, basically, created to advertise the services or products of a certain web site or online business in order to increase online sales.

Moreover, business blogs are also one way of promoting the company so that the other readers will know that a certain company exists online. With blogs, entrepreneurs are able to establish a name in the virtual market through articles that can be very useful in the reader抯 life.

From there, you can make money out of blogs by simply syndicating it to your business?web site. This can be done through the RSS technology.

So, if you are thinking to create a blog, whether for business or for pleasure, you need to know some tips that could help you get through and make your blog one of the interesting blogs online.

Here抯 how:

1. Consider your audience

Even if your blog is generally personal, still, it would be better to consider the minds of your readers. You have to think of something that would interest them.

After all, most of the reasons of people who write blogs are not at all confined to their own personal motives. Most of them would love to be 揾eard?(or read) and would love to be known, in some way or another, even for just a minute. Hence, it is very important to come with a write up that everybody can understand, not necessarily that these people can relate to it but they can understand it.

2. Pictures speaks a thousand words

To make your blogging worth the browsing effort of your readers, it would be extremely nice if you will put some pictures in it. It does not necessarily mean you have to place a picture of yourself. Any photographs will do as long as it does not pose danger or insult to anyone who will be reading your blog.

3. Make constructive and beneficial blogs

Even if you are free to write anything you wan to say to the world, still, it would be better to create some write-ups that would be beneficial to your readers.

After all, its information technology that you have there so better be inclined to provide information rather than sheer quirky entertainment.

4. Avoid making multifaceted and complicated blogs

In order to have an interesting blogs, try not to use some highly technical and highfalutin words. After all, it is not a science discourse or a debate that you are making, so better stick to simple facts and short blogs.

Bear in mind that most people who use the Internet usually do more scanning than scrutinizing each site word for word. Therefore, it would be better to come with blogs that will not bore your readers just because you have these lengthy articles.

5. Make it interactive

As much as possible and if your capacity will allow it, make your blog interactive. Yu can do this by placing some video or audio clips in your blog.

You can even place an area for comments or for some feedbacks. In this way, you can get some impressions or reactions of other people. Who knows, you might even gain some friends just by making them feel at home in your blog site.

Indeed, blogs are not created just for the mere fun of it. It also has its own purpose in the world of the Internet. Therefore, for people who wish to harness their craft, as far as writing is concerned, blogs are the best way to do it.

As they say, blogging is the contemporary term of creative and commercial writing.

How to Earn an Income Online through Google Adsense

The Internet abounds with opportunities for us to earn an income from. There are many ways we can earn money online. For example, we can earn money online through

- Affiliate Marketing - Google Adsense - Paid Surveys - Blogging

In this article, we will discuss the second way mentioned in the above list, that is, GOOGLE ADSENSE. (If you wish to know about the first way mentioned in the above list, I invite you to read my other article, 'How to Earn an Income Online through Affiliate Marketing'.)

GOOGLE ADSENSE

Google Adsense is the placing of advertisements by the world's renowned Google Search Engine on our website or blog. These Google advertisements are from merchants that are advertising their products or services. Once a visitor to our blog or website clicks on such an advertisement on our blog or website, the merchant will pay Google a fee, in which we will get a cut of it from Google.

To run such income-generating advertisements on our blog or website, we firstly, sign up for a Google Adsense account, which can be done at:

https://www.google.com/adsense/login/en_GB

Next, we activate our account, and receive Google advertisements on our blog or website by copying and pasting AdSense ad codes onto our blog or web pages.

After all these are done, the next step will be to draw visitors (traffic) to our blog or website. Just as in a brick-and-mortar store that needs traffic so as to bring in the sales, so does our e-business (blog or website). There are many ways of building traffic, which are a large topic in themselves.

Blogs and Blogging for Profits

Most bloggers use amateur blogs as opposed to professionals, though I am not sure what a professional blog is. If you are blogging for profit, whether as an amateur or professional, then you are best advised to run your blog from your own website. This involves downloading the blogging software to your web space.

This however is a personal opinion, and many people prefer the simplicity of operating their blog from a blog host such as Blogger, run from Blogspot, or Wordpress from Wordpress.com. There is little to do other than to register and make your posts. The only negative is a lack of individuality and formatting of the look of the blog and the tools that you can use on it.

The majority of people who use the internet for fun, as opposed to business, believe that they have few opportunities to make money from their blog. Their blog is to communicate with others, and to express their views online in a way that was not possible prior to around the turn of the millennium for more helps visit on go on www.atoz-about-rss.com. Sure, blogs were in existence before then, but mainly in specialized applications, and it was sometime between 1998 and 2001 that blogging changed from personal diaries of internet ˜expert to what we now regard blogging as being.

However, anyone who has a blog (reminds me of a Calla Black song) can use it to make money, or if that is against your ethos of using the internet for fun, then to cover your expenses as our councilors, governors and other governmental individuals like to express it! As they do, you can cover your expenses very, very well if you utilize the monetization possibilities of blogs as they can be used.

To repeat, in order to do so to the maximum of your ability, you must run your blog from your own web host. Most amateur blogs are created using Blogger from the Blogspot site or Wordpress from Wordpress.com, but if you can run your blog from your own website, then you have a lot more flexibility in the content of your blog than otherwise.

In fact you get many more benefits other than the possibility of profit by uploading blogging software to your web space (I am now going to use the term website for web space since that is more familiar to most people, though the terms mean different things). If your blogging software is to your own website rather than that that of a blog provider such as Blogger or Wordpress, you have a lot more flexibility in how you want to format your blog, and in the features contained within it.

Lets look at what you get if you upload Wordpress, for example, to your own website. In order to do so you must have control over a My SQL database, that most good web hosts provide, and know how to use an ftp program. Otherwise it is plain sailing to upload the software. What you get is the ability to edit the CSS and HTML that determine the content and appearance of your blog posts, your sidebars, headers and footers. An immediate obvious benefit of this is the ability to add Adsense blocks that bring income to your blog.

Another is the possibility of adding links to any affiliate products you are promoting, and in fact links to anything you want your visitors to link to. These could include your websites or other blogs, in addition to adverts of various kinds. You can offer these in permanent pages, at the start or end of each individual post, or even within posts, though the most effective adverts and Adsense blocks are those included in the sidebars and footers of each post.

Another significant benefit that many bloggers find they get by downloading the software is that they can upload any of thousands of page templates for their blog that are totally editable. You can use Photoshop or a clone to edit the graphics, mainly the header, to customize it exactly for you, and can also edit the entire html to render the template unique to you. That is not possible with a blog hosted by the blog provider.

You can add any of thousands of widgets to your blog, another facility not open to you if you run a provider hosted blog. These widgets range from automatic SEO, thru auto XML site-map generation to blog pinging and literally any feature you could wish for or go on www.profit-pulling-toolbars.com. It is the ideal medium to advertise your product or service, and make money while you sleep or when you are on vacation. Imagine waking up in the morning, checking your bank balance, and finding a lot more there than when you went to bed!

That is blogging for profit, and it is not difficult. Amateur blogs can be used for profit as well as the professional blogs. There is no distinction if you are hosting your own blog. You can make money 24/7 while you sleep, and your widgets can also include an opt-in form that builds up your email list from those that are interested in your product or niche, but not quite ready to purchase. Keep in touch with them while you sell to others.

Some blogs are used for affiliate marketing, which is very big today for making money online.

Building content websites is another way of making money online. Although it's somewhat similar to a blog site, the customer is not here to blog but rather to browse through your products and, hopefully, make a purchase or refer others to your site. Owners of content websites often use the same methods of drawing traffic to their websites as what is used with blog sites. Search engine optimization is especially helpful for drawing in traffic.

Affiliate marketing is another way of making income online. Affiliate marketing is helping to promote a business on your website, with the hopes that they'll go to the business website and purchase products as a result of your referral or link. When a sale is made, you'll receive a commission. The amount of the commission will depend n what each company offers. If you have an effective website, you can make a lucrative income with affiliate marketing, especially if you've chosen the right merchants. To be a successful affiliate, it's important that you choose successful merchants. Ebay and Amazon are just two of the thousands of online businesses that offer affiliate programs. If you have a website anyways, what better way to make money off it other than affiliate marketing?

Building a list is by far one of the most important things to do when starting out. A list builder will usually set up a specific site just for names and email addresses. This is typically called a squeeze page, or a lead capture page. List building is a very good method to be used with affiliate marketing, blogging, generating leads and a great way to help build up a business. Your list is the most important thing because these are the people that you can market to over and over for the rest of time. There are list building programs available online that can help you get started on this income builder.

The Fastest Way to Make Money From Your Writing Skills

Publishers are happy to pay several dollars for every word you write and they also want people to write from them on a regular basis, making this one of the most lucrative freelance writing options of all - it's called 'filler writing'.

Fillers are short written pieces like anecdotes and poems, household and gardening tips, and dozens of similar short writing forms.

They can be very lucrative and even a part-time filler writer can generate an income much higher than many people make in a week.

But money is just one reason some people enjoy the filler writing life. Others include:

* It's very satisfying to see your work in print. The quicker this happens the sooner you can consider yourself a published writer and the easier the road to longer, more profitable assignments becomes.

* For some writers, seeing their names in print is all the reward they need for working hard. Payment is the icing on the cake.

* Research is usually easier and less time-consuming for short pieces than for long articles and news reports.

* Writing short pieces gets you noticed by editors, making it easier to break into print for longer assignments such as articles, series, columns and personality profiles.

* No rejection slips! Publishers do not usually respond to writers to reject fillers and readers' letters so there'll be no feelings of hurt and rejection. That's a useful start to your writing career.

* Fillers can be produced in minutes and spread over whatever time the writer has available.

* With no bulky equipment or research materials, the writer can work on his fillers at any time, in any place. A notepad and pen are the only tools the prolific filler writer really needs.

* Fillers can be fitted between longer writing assignments, making writing more interesting and rewards more frequent!

Now, what more could you really ask for? What better way than this to begin a new and very profitable freelance writing career! Why not get started right away?

You do it by working with another company that wants to use your blog as a form of advertising. The advertising can be as in your face or subtle as you want. And it can still make you money, provided you have enough visitors to your blog. What is Adsense? Adsense is a program offered by Google. The program, if installed, will show ads provided by Google. How do I get Adsense? You'll need to go to Google.com, first. At the bottom of the screen is a link for Advertising Programs. Click on that. Then click on the link for Adsense. Scroll down on the page that comes up and click here to Apply! You then fill out the form with information about yourself. After 12-48 hours, Google will notify you via email whether or not your site has been accepted. When you've been accepted, set up your ads by doing either of the following: You'll configure your ads and save the template. That's it. If you are self-hosting your blog, you'll have to set up AdSense in more of a manual way. How does Adsense work? Every time a visitor clicks an Adsense ad, you get a little bit of money. The amount you get for each ad clicked depends on the number of unique visitors you receive on your blog. The more visitors, the more money that can be earned. It is important to remember that Google will fine you if you click your own ads, or if you ask visitors specifically to click ads. So don't do that! Pay per Click Pay per Click is basically just like AdSense, except you don't just work with Google you work with multiple companies. BidVertiser is one such company you can sign up with to do pay per Click advertising. How do I get Pay per Click You sign up with a site like Bidvertiser and then follow their instructions to set up the Pay per Click ads on your site. How does Pay per Click work? It works by paying you money every time someone clicks an ad that you display. You won't get paid for several clicks from the same user in the same visitor, nor will you get paid for someone simply visiting your site. You only get paid for genuine clicks. Affiliate links are essentially links which people pay you for. Companies will actually pay owners of popular blogs to post links on their blog. You can do as much Affiliate linking as you want. How do I get Affiliate Links? You can get Affiliate links by searching or Affiliate Link Programs on the internet. Once you find an Affiliate link program that looks good to you, sign up for it. Then you can follow their commands for putting the link(s) on your blog. How do Affiliate Links work? Like the other two methods mentioned above, Affiliate links work by paying you money each time they are clicked. You get paid for each click per unique visitor. So now you have it, three genuine ways to make money from blogging. It is important to keep in mind that the amount of money you are able to make depends on how many visitors your blog draws. If you draw a lot, you'll make a lot. If not, the money you earn will be modest. But it's still extra money, so keep doing it! The Two Easiest Ways to Make More Time for Your Internet Business

Stop. Watching. T.V.

If you think you don't have time to run a business online, you're kidding yourself - you already work two full time jobs.

If you watch more than an hour of TV per day, stop watching TV. Cold Turkey, and yes, that means online video, You Tube, all that, for at least two months. After the first week, you won't even miss it.

After the two months are up, and your business is up and running, you can go back to watching TV. Anything that was good, you won't have missed so much of that you can't catch up.

That includes the news. Trust me when I say that if something important happens you'll get the chance to hear all about it another time. Most news has absolutely no bearing on your daily life. If it's a tragedy, it's already happened and you can't stop it. If it's a miracle, people will be talking about it, and you'll hear about it. There's not much else on the news but traffic and weather, and those you can read about online, or hear on the radio. You can also read the news online, but that can lead to a time suck as well.

This kind of advice probably seems outrageous. It did to me when I discovered this secret in 1992. Turning off the tube doesn't just make time in your life, it creates a space for silence, and with silence often comes inspired thought.

The second easiest way is to sleep less. I hear Donald Trump only sleeps 4 hours a night. His reasoning was that it gives him a 20 hour day, and his opponents can't compete with that on a 16 hour day. I guess I'll never be a Billionaire, if that's the cost. I'm a varsity sleeper, and I can do more in ten hours after resting than in 18 without. I'd suggest waking up an hour early, then going to bed an hour later instead.

Should you decide to go with my first suggestion and give up television, remember that it's not forever. If you're really a tubeaholic, think about getting TiVo and time shifting your programming. You can also watch some network shows for free online, and get others from iTunes for $2 a pop or $20 - $40 per season. I'd still take the two months off, but while that's happening, tape everything you're missing. If your thing is sports, try going to an occasional live game to make up for all the live broadcasts you miss.

Even reducing your television consumption by half can give you plenty of extra time.

How Do I Get My Business On The Internet?

This is one of the most frequently asked questions by small business owners. They are feeling the pressure from their customers and competitors, yet for many business people it is a daunting task, as they don't understand the whole process.

In fact, many people are even asking the question whether they should have a website. Whether you are a consultant, florist, designer, builder, architect or a doctor, consider the many advantages a website provides:

1. Make money - Set up an on-line store or get paid for advertising from other companies

2. Save money on advertising - Instead of paying for large ads, simply advertise your website

3. Be flexible in your message - Change the content as your business changes. No need to re-print expensive brochures.

4. Exposure to new customers - You will reach more local clients as well as interstate and global markets

5. Having more professional image - Keep up with the times and your competitors

6. Save time - Don’t spend hours on the phone, direct customers to your website

7. Keep your business open 24/7 - Provide customers information when THEY need it. If you don’t, someone else will.

So what does it really take to get your website set up?

Step 1 - Register your domain name OR not.

The big question is whether you need to register a domain name or not. The simple answer is NO, but a better answer is YES it is a good idea.

What is a domain name?

The purpose of a domain name is similar to that of a street address or telephone number. The domain name directs customers to you on the Internet. The domain by itself is not your email or web address. The domain does form the base from which these addresses are derived.

For example: Company Name: QikPhone Domain Name: qikphone.com.au Web Address: www.qikphone.com.au Email Address: sales@qikphone.com

Do I need to register a domain name to have a website?

NO, you don't need to have your own domain name. Your website can be created and hosted without it. Your website address will look something like this: www.web4business.com.au/JBCleaning OR www.ozemail.com.au/~JBCleaning

The only advantage of not registering a domain name is that you will save yourself a few dollars.

The disadvantages of NOT having your domain name include:

1. If you decide to change your Webhosting company or if that company goes out of business, you will lose your website address. Your website can be transferred to a new company, but your address will change. And that means re-printing stationery and re-doing all your advertising, notifying all your customers etc.

2. Website addresses that contain information other than your company name are long and hard to remember and do not appear as professional. Compare these two and see which one you are more likely to remember: www.ozemail.com.au/~JBCleaning OR www.JBCleaning.com.au

So it is a good idea to register a domain name, even if it is just to protect yourself for the future. Say for example, your business name is JB Cleaning and you decide not to register your domain name for now. Along comes Joe Bloggs who opens his own cleaning business and registers JBCleaning.com.au domain name. After a year you decide you want to have your own domain name, but since Joe Bloggs already owns it, you won't be able to register it. Not to mention your customers who know your business as JB Cleaning may visit his website, thinking it's your web address and instead hire Joe Bloggs Cleaning.

Step 2 - Plan your website.

Planning your website is a two part process:

(a) Decide on the website design (colour schemes, buttons, special effects etc). This is your website designer's job. However, you may have a preference for a certain colour or look. To help you choose a design, you may wish to check out other people's websites or work with your web designer's pre-set templates.

(b) The content. There are many items you may wish to include on your website. The most common ones include:

1 Product/Service Details
2. Contact Information
3. Pricing
4. Testimonials
5. Frequently Asked Questions
6. Response Form, such as "Join Mailing List"
7. On-line Magazine or Newsletter
8. Resources & Articles
9. Guarantee
10. Survey
11. Events Calender
12. Search My Website Form
13. Refund Policy
14. Privacy Policy
15. About Us Information
16. Site Map
17. Copyright information
18. Useful Links
19. Media Information
20. On-line store
21. News
22. Directions to Your Bricks & Mortar Premises

Step 3 - Choose a Web Hosting Company.

What is a Web hosting Company?

A webhost is a company that provides server space for your website. You can think of a web host as a commercial building. The web host provides space for your website just as a commercial building provides space for your shop or office. You can build your own building and you can host your own website, but because of the cost and expertise required it is easier to rent the space.

Which Company Should I Choose?

Webhosting companies are not created equal so you need to take a number of things into account when selecting one. A proven track record, experience and reliability form the foundation of any successful business partnership.

Some of the issues you should consider when choosing a webhosting company include:

1. Support - Does it provide comprehensive Technical Support - 24 hours a day, seven days a week?

2. Reliability - Does it have multiple large-scale links to the internet to provide a fail-safe path to your customers from anywhere in the world?

3. Security - Does it have a robust security system that minimises risk of web site intrusion?

4. State-of-the-art - Does the company utilises leading edge technology and is supported by a large-scale uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system.

5. Scalability - Does the product range and services offered allow your business to grow without impediment by making it easy to upgrade and add components to existing product levels.

Step 4 - Getting people to your site.

The marketing of your website is important if you want to draw visitors to your site. If you don't promote your website no-one will ever see it. There are a number of different ways of advertising your website. The best strategy is one, which integrates your existing promotion methods with your website.

1. Office Stationery - Including your web address and email address on your stationery is probably the easiest way to draw attention to your site. It's cost effective and gets your Internet presence out there in the market place.

2. Business Cards - When printing business cards you should include the individual's email address and main address of your website.

3. Radio Advertising - Radio Advertising should include your web address. Don't include the http://, try "Visit us on the internet at w-w-w-dot-qikphone-dot-com-dot-au". If your budget is limited, you may wish to consider community radios.

4. Email and Mail-Outs - Let your current customers know the details of your website. You can either send them an email or a letter/postcard. Keep your website's content up-to-date and they will keep coming back!

5. Print Media - Print advertising should include a generic email address for the company and include your website address. Normally positioned at the bottom right or bottom centre of your advertisement.

6. Search Engines & Directories - People looking for your website who don't know the URL are most likely to use an on-line search engine to look for your organisation or the kind of products and services you offer. There are over 300 major search engines and directories, but you should concentrate on the larger, more commonly used ones. These include: Google, Yahoo, Altavista, Anzwers, Inktomi, Infoseek, Lycos, Excite, HotBot, MSN, Dogpile, AllTheWeb etc.

7. Links from other websites - A good way to attract visitors to your site is through the use of hyperlinks placed on other sites. If you know of another site which has a list of links and you think your website would be a good addition, let the website owner know. You might also offer to provide a link from your site back to the other site. This will encourage the webmaster to include your site. You should also seek out partners for trading links including vendors, suppliers and providers of complimentary products.

8. Link Exchange - Another way to getting a link is through a system called Link Exchange, a free public service designed to help websites advertise each other. With Link Exchange, you agree to display advertising banners for other Link Exchange members and they agree to display banners for you. The System is automatic, you simply add a piece of HTML code to your web page and Link Exchange will display an advertisement for another website. The disadvantage with Link Exchange is that you don't get any control as to where your banner ad appears or the type of banner ads that will appear on your website. It is not possible to guarantee that a competitor of yours may have their banner ad displayed on your site.

9. Paid Banner Advertising/Affiliate Marketing Programs - Various sites give you the opportunity to purchase banner advertising on their site. Some sites will charge you a flat monthly fee while other sites will charge you based on the number of people who see your ad.

Step 5 - Monitor your site's statistics

Your website's statistics should show who visits your website, where in the world they come from, how they are finding your site and what pages are being viewed. Knowing your customers is the first step in effective marketing. Most webhosting companies will provide access to this information free of charge.

Step 6 - Maintaining your website

It is important to update your website regularly to keep your customers interested. One of the great advantages of having a website is that you can change its content virtually overnight at minimal cost (unlike re-printing brochures and flyers).

This is just a brief overview of the process involved in getting your website up and running. In future articles we will cover each step in more detail.

How To Start A Successful Online Business When Your Budget Is A Big Zero

Everybody needs to have something extra to do in order to earn a little more than his or her 9 to 5 job entails. Most people choose the Internet as a tool since this provides a way out without the hassle of finding a office or shop space and it cost relatively less than setting up a real life business.

How Much Does It Cost To Set UP An E-Business?

Well, let us look first at what it entails. The first thing you would need with e-commerce is a website which you may design yourself or have a professional do it for you. This would be your virtual shop – hence, it needs to be presentable, inviting, and easy to navigate. Simplicity would work fine, just as long as the website is attractive enough to get the surfer interested in looking around and functional enough to get him or her what they want when they want.

Then, you would need a domain name and web hosting services. A domain name is www.yourbusinessname.com or edu, org, or whatever which would be your address on the Web. In order to have a good 24x7 presence on the web, you would need a good web host which would give you sufficient bandwidth (meaning space to spread your website) so many people could watch and use the website at the same time. You need to have a server uptime of at 99.8% and that would cost some funds as well.

Once you have a great website and an excellent web host, you would need to concentrate on getting people see and visit your 'shop'. For this you would need to advertise online and offline with whatever means you have. There are many, many ways to draw customers to your website, but in order to make the effort count you need to concentrate on attracting only those people who are in some measure interested in what you have to offer. This is called targeted advertising, i.e. you target your dragnet to only those surfers who would be most likely to buy something.

There Are Excellent Alternatives

The above procedure would at the minimum cost you about US $500. If you insist in getting outstanding quality in everything you endeavor, the cost might go to US $1000. This means that unless you have this capital, you might not get the returns you would have planned to get. So, what happens if you do not have this cash ready to invest?

Do not worry – there are some great alternatives to set up a very profitable business. It is called affiliate network. What you need to do here is find a great affiliate network – some of them charge a huge fee to allow you to become a member, while yet others offer you all kind of help for free + offers you an excellent commission for every item you sell for them. How to Raise the Money to Start Your Internet Business in 5 Easy Steps

So, you have discovered that perfect home-based business that is going to have prospects banging down the door to sign up…but you don't have the money to invest. The investment requirement may be $1500, it may be $1000, it may be $100.

The point is that you have NO money to spare, if you want to keep a roof over your head and food on the table. This describes most, in today's economy, but you are special because you are wise enough to realize that if you just keep doing what you are doing now, you are just going to keep getting poorer.

Now mind you, that doesn't mean you can walk into your boss's office, drop off your resignation letter, and tell him to pound sand just yet…that comes later. But, you know that while your day job will make you a living, your online business will make you a fortune. Right?

So the challenge is to raise the money to start your business as soon as possible. The methods I am about to teach you will do just that, PLUS generate recurring monthly savings that will become your advertising budget.

Step 1: Where is My Money Going Now?

The simplest and best way of making money is to reduce your costs. But you may already only be buying what you need! So, we are going to reduce our costs WITHOUT sacrificing the goods/services that we need. But first, what ARE our costs?

Exercise: Take out last month's bank statement and credit card bills. Itemize each of your major costs. Your list may look something like this:

* Mortgage on house or cost of renting
* Car payments
* Health Insurance
* Car Insurance
* Homeowners Insurance
* Groceries
* Fast food/lunches out at work
* Telephone/Internet/Cable
* Gas

These are just a few. It can be frightening to see just how much money you are spending to keep a roof over your head!

So now that we know WHERE our money is going, let's take action to divert more of it away from other people's pockets and into our own. We will do that via…

Step 2: Competitive Bidding--Who wants my business?

It is simply astonishing how almost every company utilizes competitive bidding, and yet how few households do! For every item we listed up there, there are dozens, hundreds, or thousands of different companies who would love to have you as their customer!

Let's make them compete against each other, shall we?

Exercise: Find your policies for Health, Auto and Home Insurance. Find exactly what your coverages are, and your premiums. THEN, go online to a competitive bidding website, fill out your information, and request quotes from dozens of bidders! I personally use LowerMyBills and E-Health Insurance (links are provided in the resource box below). Representatives from these companies will be scrambling all over each other to provide you with their most competitive quotes, especially if you…

Tip: TELL THEM that other companies are bidding for your business! No one wants the competition to get a customer, so they will cut their margins as much as they can!
Tip: Create URGENCY by telling them that you are only accepting bids until X date, at which point you will choose the most inexpensive offer that meets your needs!

You will be astonished at how much this will reduce your monthly costs. This is a service that I perform for clients, in exchange for a % of whatever I save them, and believe me that is a pretty penny. But you don't need me to do it for you, you can do this yourself!

Savings: (will obviously vary from person to person, this is what I tend to see on average)
Savings on health insurance: $200 per month
Savings on car insurance: $100 per month
Savings on home insurance: $75 per month
First-month savings on insurance: $375
Ongoing monthly savings: $375/month

Wow! That's a nice chunk of change right there towards your business. And your actual results may be much higher or much lower, but chances are that right now, unless you bid out your insurance annually, your provider is probably treating you like a 200-pound 4th-grader taking your lunch money.

Step 3: I Can Pay Less, to Save MORE?!?

Have you been reading the news about the economy? In an effort to turn around the recession, the FED has been slashing through interest rates with speed and vigor usually seen only in Japanese Samurai movies.

Take out that mortgage bill, and see what rate you are paying. 7%? 6%?

We'll use an average mortgage amount of $200,000, and assume your current interest rate is 7% at a 30 year fixed loan. Ergo, your payment is $1,330.60 per month.

Do you have any idea JUST HOW MUCH money you can save by refinancing now at a lower rate?

With the Fed rate cuts, loans at 5% are easily available. Just that 2% drop in interest will lower your payment on the SAME LOAN to $1,073.64…saving you $237 per month!!
Let's add that in…
1st-Month Savings on Refinancing at lower rate: $237
Ongoing monthly savings: $237/month

And you can roll in your closing costs to the loan, so you don't pay anything up front, and STILL be saving this much (a few thousand over a 30-year loan just knocks off about $20 per month from your savings, which is already factored in above).

Step 4: Waste Not, Want Not

Now we are going to look at such a simple, obvious, and EASY way to save money, that never even occurs to most people.

What are you doing for lunch at work? Are you getting fast food, because it's easy and convenient? If so, you are spending about $6-$8 per meal!

Or do you eat out a restaurant? That gets REALLY expensive, anywhere from $10-$20 per meal or more! For this example, we will say that you are like most of working America and you eat lunch at a fast food place, spending $7 per meal.

So not only are you clogging your arteries and getting poor nutrition, but you are spending $210 per month just on lunch!!

Start bringing your lunch to work with you. Make yourself a sandwich, or whatever you please. The groceries will add up to $1-$2 per meal, if that. Let's say $2 per meal.

1st-Month Savings on Brown-bagging it for lunch: $150!!
Ongoing monthly savings: $150/month
Benefit to your health: Priceless!

And how badly do you REALLY need that $3 Mochachino from Starbucks every morning on the way to work? If you cut that out of your budget, there's another $90 per month you save!

BUT I LIKE MY FANCY STARBUCKS DRINKS AND DON'T WANT TO GIVE THEM UP!!

Ok, fiiiine! Give it up for just the first month then. If you are going to be able to make $1000's of dollars per month by starting your internet business, wouldn't you be willing to make that small sacrifice?

In the words of Jim Rohn, "OF COOOURSE!!"

Step 5: Take Advantage of the Economic Stimulus

By now you've probably gotten the letter from the IRS about the Economic Stimulus Plan…you are going to be receiving a check for somewhere between $300 and $1200 in May 2008!

If you spend it on bills, it's gone, and the bills will be back…with friends. That's why you want to start your internet business in the first place, right? So that you will have gigantic loads of income streaming in again and again from your marketing efforts?

For this example, let's assume you are married, below a certain income level, and have 1 child. Your tax rebate will be $900 (or possibly $1200, but let's be conservative).

Ok, let's recap. So far, we've managed to raise:

Savings on health insurance: $200 per month
Savings on car insurance: $100 per month
Savings on home insurance: $75 per month
Savings on Refinancing at lower rate: $237 per month
Savings on small luxuries like Starbucks: $90 month 1
Unexpected Tax Rebate Coming in May: $900 month 1!
Savings from not eating out for lunch: $150 per month
Total Savings for First Month: $1752
Ongoing Savings per Month: $762 per month

WOW! We are there!! You have raised $1,752 to start your business, which is more than most cost! Not only that, but you will be saving almost $800 per month…let's take $400 of that and invest it our business as our Advertising Budget, and we will have LOTS of prospects coming to our site…and from there, it is just a matter of the Law of Averages to generate out your sales.

My Passport to Wealth business only costs $997 to get started, and an advertising budget of $350 per month gets you a professional Marketing Manager who does all your marketing for you, AND a personal sales assistant who calls all your prospects! I have included a link in the resource box to learn more about this hands-free automated internet business.

So that would leave an extra $752 in month 1, even above and beyond the cost of investing in your business…AND you would have ongoing savings of $412 per month.

Do you think you could find a use for this extra money that you raised?

Five Kinds of Successful Online Businesses

If you're seriously considering starting an online business, it makes sense that you would want to choose something that's going to do well right from the start. When you're investing time and money in your business, it would help to know if you're setting yourself up for failure or for success. Here are five different kinds of online businesses that have proven to be a hit with customers. Perhaps you can find your perfect business idea here too.

Health and Weight Loss

Everyone either wants to lose weight or wants to improve their health. We're a society that wants to take care of our bodies and if we look good at the same time, that's all the better. If you want to start an online business, you might want to focus on ways to help people lose weight or simply to improve their health. You can do this by offering fitness and health related products on your website or perhaps by offering eBooks that will help them make better health decisions. Try to find something that relates to a question or a concern a person has about their health - and then you have a viable and profitable business plan.

Beauty

While it used to be that beauty was something that only women talked about, that certainly isn't the case any longer. That said, women are still the consumer group that is much more likely to invest in makeup and skin care products, though men too are looking to improve their appearance. With anti aging face products, both genders can begin to reclaim their youthful appearance, which will help them feel more confident in any setting. Selling high quality makeup products and helping customers with their choices is a great business plan, as it allows customers to have the department store experience from the comfort of their home.

Exercise and Sports

But weight loss isn't the only concern with it comes to health for customers. Exercise and sports are other areas where you can make a profit with your online business. For example, selling sporting equipment or products related to sports fans is still a big business. When you work with the team and their product line, you will be able to access thousands of fans who want to support their team with licensed products.

Fashion

Of course, fashion is still a hot seller, no matter where you are. If you can present high quality fashions on your website, you will attract not only the teenaged sector, but also those in their twenties and thirties - of both genders. Look to celebrity and gossip magazines to show you what's hot and what's not and then look for a vendor that sells the same or similar items that you can them turn around to sell for a profit.

Low Price Goods

No matter what you choose to add to your website, if you can sell products available on other sites for a much lower price, you are going to do well. This goes for fashion, beauty, exercise, sports, etc. If you can find high quality products that can be sold at much lower prices, you will draw in many more customers than you could have with higher priced goods. For example, if you can find a way to sell organic goods and clothing for much cheaper than healthy food specialty stores, you can help those that want to be healthier, but can't afford the higher prices of other stores.

No matter what you choose, try at first to think of things that you yourself might want to buy online - chances are good that you're not the only one.

Making Money Online Is Not As Easy As You Thought

There are a lot of things you need to know before you can accept credit cards on your web site. This always seems to startle some people when I bring it up. The overall view on this topic is that making money online, (as opposed to offline) is relatively easy.

Back in the not so distant past it was fairly simple to hook up a credit card processor, (online gateway) to your web site and accept payment. There weren’t too many rules you had to follow to make this happen. The biggest hurdle you had to worry about was paying the entrance fee and keeping up with the monthly payments. But this game has become a bit more complicated in the past recent months.

You need to clearly define your shipping policies and return procedures on the front pages of your web site. You need to get real specific on tax information and how you will handle damaged shipments. This can slow you down for about two weeks. There is a ton of phone tag that goes on in this period and you will be shut out in the cold waiting for approval. Nobody ever expects this to happen but http://Authorize.net and Chase Manhattan are tightening down on policy.

Accepting Credit Cards Online Gets Trickier

The most common misconception I face is that accepting credit cards online is exactly the same process as accepting them in the storefront. This is simply not the case. You can accept credit cards in your store with a swipe machine that sits by your register. You will still need an online gateway to accept credit cards on your web site. This gets attached to your web site online. This gets connected to your bank account. There are no hardware attachments to connect to your computer and this has nothing to do with how you conduct business in your physical storefront. These are two separate procedures.

Not all credit card processors are equal. Some come with higher percentage rates than others. For a lot of business owners this can cause a great deal of turmoil and headache. I have seen them break down and cry over paying 2% or 4% extra for each transaction. I have literally witnessed business professionals lose it over having to pay an additional half point on their fees. These same business owners have zero web traffic incoming to their sites.

I would only get emotional on this issue if you are pulling in a substantial amount of volume. Most of these web site owners have no real massive amount of online visitors. Percentages are going to become a much greater deal if you have a significant amount of online web traffic and sales. Once you handle a great number of transactions you may want to get a better rate.

And Now For The Good News

Once you understand what the online merchant accounts are looking for this becomes quite easier than before! You really can make a great deal of money online by following savvy online marketing skills and positioning your site to the right types of people. There is nothing better than waking up one fine morning and being able to look into your bank statement to see deposits being dropped into your account. This is a very uplifting feeling!

You can sell just about anything you can dream of online and people do. Out of all the products, goods and services that sell online information products sell the best. Remember that people do not go online to buy things but mostly logon to search for information. Getting people to commit to buying something takes a bit of effort and you need to educate them on why they need your goods and services. This is where copywriting, (sales in print) can do amazing things to your bottom line. You need to answer all of your potential customers questions and concerns before they will commit to you.

And lastly, the best thing about living in this information age is that this entire sales process can be automated. You can have web video clips demonstrating your products or sales people who come on your site and do the selling for you. You can automate every aspect of the selling process online so you don’t have to lift a finger.

There is an art to making money online. The game has become a bit trickier and a little more stringent on policy and procedure but that’s good. Online marketing is now a real industry and is being taken seriously across this country and abroad. And like any real industry there are rules that you need to know about so you can get yourself up to speed.
